The Hunt for Split Brow

Since late August we have been watching this beast, eager to have a face to face meeting with him. This buck has double split brow tines and that is why we named him "Split Brow". Ol' Split Brow is a main frame ten point with a bunch of trash at the bases. He also has a small kicker that may only be a half inch long, coming off his left main beam that is only visible on certain photos. This deer is a dandy; he holds good body weight and is for sure #1 on our hit list. I've been keeping a close eye on him and he shows up a few times a week usually late at night or early mornings. On October 10th he showed up during daylight for the first time and of course I was at work. I would like to think he is the most dominant buck on the property right now but that could change with the rut being here and new bucks starting to filter into his territory. The photos of Split Brow are becoming less frequent due to the rut activity. I think he is out and about looking for love most of the time which keeps him busy and unable to stop by every night for his daily photoshoots. I have plans to take off work from Nov13th-17th with both weekends padding each side, Split Brow and I WILL MEET. I have literally been dreaming about this deer multiple times a day and night every single week since august. I even talk about him to my girlfriend as if she knows him. This year I have been filming my hunts, so I hope it all comes together as I try my best to harvest Split Brow on camera with a bow. Stay tuned for more updates on "The Hunt for Split Brow".
